Meet the faces of Brain Cancer
Here are children who have fought the battle NO CHILD should. They have done so with courage, strength and determination. All while they remained sharing their amazing personalities with the world, helping their families stay strong and positive.
Who is Jaxson?
The face behind JasxonStrong
Diagnosed with DIPG: 3/16/24
He has been fighting DIPG for 5 months. Doctors told his mom his prognosis was 9-12 months from diagnosis. Wow, what a harsh reality. Thank God for our faith and belief that Jesus calls the final shots and will call this beautiful boy home when his purpose here on earth is complete.
He was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma with H3K27M Mutation. Which is a specific type of brain tumor affecting the pons with a genetic alteration found in most cases, but contributing significantly to it's development and aggressive nature. It disrupts the normal function of the histone modifications leading to abnormal gene expression and promoting aggressive growth.
Jaxson is an energetic 7-year-old boy with a smile that changes the world. He is full of love, strength, courage and determination. His personality is full of life and sunshine. It radiates for miles around him. He is a tri sport athlete and adores his family and close friends. His biggest flex is he loves Jesus.
Jaxson has been the true definition of Courage throughout his journey. Receiving 30 rounds of radiation on his brainstem. Then after metastatic growth he underwent 13 rounds of Proton radiation on full brain, spine and vertebrae. Praise God he had minimal side effects, and we have been able to create lasting memories!
Jaxson definitely is not allowing DIPG to define him, he is redefining DIPG!
